WhatsApp for clinics: fewer no-shows, more reviews, less time on the phone
Your patients already message you on WhatsApp. Comniket turns that into a system: reminders go out on their own, the front desk answers from one shared inbox, and patients who had a good visit are asked for a Google review at the right moment.
What gets in the way
- Patients forget appointments, and an empty slot is income you do not get back.
- Reception spends hours on the same questions — timings, fees, which doctor sits when, how to reach you.
- Happy patients rarely leave a review unless someone asks them, at the right time.
What you can do with WhatsApp
Appointment reminders
A reminder the day before and a few hours before, with the doctor's name, the time and a map link. The patient replies 1 to confirm or 2 to reschedule, and the reply lands in your inbox.
Answers at any hour
An AI chatbot answers timings, fees, doctors and directions from the details you give it, and passes anything medical to a person on your team.
Follow-ups and check-up reminders
A message a week after the visit, or a reminder when the next check-up or vaccination is due — sent automatically from a workflow.
Google reviews
After the visit, one message with your Google review link. Comniket's Google Business Profile tools then show and help you reply to the reviews that come in.
One number for the whole team
Reception, doctors and billing work from the same WhatsApp number. Each chat is assigned to a person, so nothing is answered twice or missed.
Messages you can send
Ready-to-submit WhatsApp templates. {{1}} and the like are filled in for each customer; Meta approves each template once.
A reminder flow that stops no-shows
- The appointment is booked — by reception, from your website form or through the chatbot
- The day before: a reminder with confirm and reschedule options
- A second reminder a few hours before the visit
- No reply? The chat is flagged so reception can call the patient
Frequently asked questions
Can a clinic send appointment reminders on WhatsApp?
Yes. Reminders are utility messages, which Meta allows when the patient has given you their number for that purpose. On Meta's current rates they cost about ₹0.12 each plus GST.
Can we share reports on WhatsApp?
Share a report only with the patient's consent and only to the number they gave you. Keep diagnoses out of message text where you can, and never put health details in a promotional message.
Can the chatbot give medical advice?
It should not. Set it to answer timings, fees, doctors and directions, and to hand every medical question to your staff.
Do we need a new phone number?
No. You can connect your existing business number or a new one; moving an existing number to the WhatsApp Business API is part of setup, and we guide you through it.
